When Fashion Week ends, a little part of our heart breaks. But then we stop and delight in the memories–the over-the-top style, the energy, the fetes and that hair! New York Fashion Week definitely delivered in the hair department this year. There was so much variety and so much creativity that we’re getting butterflies just thinking about the whole thing. So we figured, it was only fair to share with you our favorite looks. And yes, you better believe we’ll be trying these out at home–with a little help from our trusty LiQWd products.

Beyonce wearing Alexander McQueen
Music videos don’t always get the respect they deserve, but every once in a while, a video comes around that’s so out there, people can’t stop talking about it. Today, the buzz is all about Beyoncé’s just-released Run The World (Girls).
Regardless of what you think of the actual song, the fashion and the beauty in the video are incredible! Here are a few of the most eye-popping looks:

Rocking loose, messy waves and a bejeweled head-dress

Wearing Jean-Paul Gaultier and a very Brigitte Bardot-esque beehive

A closer look at Beyonce's over-the-top updo

In Givenchy...with hyenas
If you’re looking to replicate Beyonce’s 1960s beehive at home, you’ll need a fine-tooth comb and lots of hairspray. We’ve put our brand-new Design Professional Working Spray through the paces, and after keeping our hair in place for 4 hours during a supremely windy beach event, we feel confident that it’s up to any challenge–even sky-high hairdos like the ones in the video!

Art and fashion lovers, take notice!

LA’s MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) is currently doing an amazing exhibition called “Rodarte: States of Matter”showing clothing as sculpture. There are pieces from gorgeous fashion line Rodarte’s Spring 2010, Fall 2010 and Fall 2008 runway collections, plus original ballet costumes designed by Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy for the movie Black Swan.

Rodarte’s fashions are always whimsical and stunningly gorgeous–just the type of clothing you wear when you want to feel pretty and feminine. The exhibition runs until June 5th–we’ll be there this weekend!
